I LOVE reading and writing. I just thought that this website would be a great way to get people to read more books. I tend to read 12+ - YA fiction. Every book I read I will try and put a review on here within 2-3 days.

I really want to be a journalist or author and currently half way through my 1st novel. Any publishers or authors reading this blog, feel free to email me at:

Review of 'Touch of Power'

Title: Touch of Power
Author: Maria V Snyder

Blurb:
Avry is being hunted, just as she's about to be killed she's rescued by a group of stranger's. Avry doesn't really like these men and reluctantly agrees to go with them. She starts calling the men family and grows to love them but, soon she discovers that her rescue comes at a price..But what is it?

My Review:
I was lucky enough to get this book to review for a competition. I would never approach this book in a book shop and I'd never heard of Maria V Snyder. The plot is great, there are twists and turns along every corner just when you least expect them too!! I couldn't put the book down and through the day I was itching to pick it up again. Whenever I said just 1/2 more pages I'd end up reading a whole chapter! Everything is fab in this book and the only way I can fault it is book 2 isn't out till 2013 - I am deffo gonna get my hands on that copy!! He he! Overall, an incredible story, it certainly gets the thumbs up in my book!

Review of 'A Year Without Autumn'

Title: A Year Without Autumn
Author: Liz Kessler

Blurb:
If you could look into the future - would you look? Jenni Green doesn't have a choice. On her way to visit her bestfriend she is mysteriously transported 1 year forward in time. How did she get here? And more importantly, how does she get back?

My Review:
I really enjoyed this book, from the first page I knew that I was going to love this book! I'd always wanted to read this book and I'm glad that I did! I read this one day - I just couldn't put the book down,  it was that good!! Near the end I was urging Jenni to do the right thing and I was so scared that if she didn't, the past would me the same - a tragic past for her best friend Autumn and family! The relationship between the 2 girls was really nice, you could tell they were close and the bond between the characters came through clearly in the author's writing. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it was a great tale of friendship, love and how the past and future can be a daunting, frightening place...

Review of 'A Million Angels'

Title: A Million AngelsAuthor: Kate Maryon
Review:Jemima's dad has gone to fight in a war for 6 months. She feels lonely and isolated. Her mum is having a baby and her gran has come to stay. On top of all this she has to do a school presentation and as she's not the most confident of girls, this feels like a daunting task. The cover plays a part in the book and Jemima tries various ways to get her dad to come home but things don't go according to plan...All in all a great book! Right at the end I cried, and any book that makes me feel something so strong is a great book. The ending is FAB - so sweet! I really enjoyed this book!

Review of 'Jane Airhead'

Title: Jane Airhead
Author: Kay Woodward

My Review:
Overall, this book would get 6/10 from me. It was ok but the writing didn't blow me away. A lot of the time I didn't know who was who and what was happening. I couldn't really get hooked in. The book had a nice ending and there were parts that I liked but, that didn't happen a lot. This for me is a 1 time read. It was the first Kay Woodward book I'd read but like I've said, I wasn't completely in love with her writing. All in all, it was ok, but I'll read some more of her books and see if that changes my opinion on her.
